Important information

HexagonMap allows you to access IGN cards for free.

For this, the application operates the free license for the general public offered by the IGN.

This license is accompanied by limitations: no persistent cache and a maximum of 100,000 transactions per month.

This application has above all been developed to meet a personal need, as well as to deepen my knowledge in Android development.

I decided to put the application on Play Store to share other people from my work.

Today the problem is as follows: the threshold of the 100,000 monthly transactions is quite widely exceeded. Several alternatives therefore arise:

- Pure and simple stop of the service

- Passage on a paid model. Other applications offer a similar service on this model and they do it very well. In addition, this is not the primary vocation of this project.

- Implementation of a limit to 100,000 transactions. This is the way I chose to take.

HexagonMap will therefore stop operating once this level of 100,000 transactions is reached, and until the following month.

By transaction, we hear downloading a "tile", ie a square of 256 pixels on the side.

A visual counter of the overall limit is added at the bottom of the screen, in the form of a progression bar. Once this bar is fully filled, the cards are no longer downloaded.

I am aware of the restrictive side of this limit, but it is at this price that I can continue to offer the application.

I can only encourage you for reasoned use of the service.
